Luigi Mangione Pleads Guilty In Court
On August 14, Luigi Mangione admitted to fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to two federal stalking charges and confessed that he targeted Thompson outside a New York City hotel on December 4, 2024.
“I shot Mr Thompson, and he died,” Mangione told the judge. “I understood that my actions would place him in fear of death of bodily injury. I knew what I was doing was illegal.”

Brad Pitt Is ‘Back Off The Wagon’
Actor Brad Pitt admitted that he has started drinking again. “No, I got — I was sober for seven years. And then I got back off the wagon. Yep, nope, not good for me.’ Not in big quantities,” he told Esquire earlier this week.
The actor previously told PEOPLE magazine that he joined a 12-step program in 2016 and started attending AA meetings. “You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard,” he said at the time. “It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself.”
