Kim Kardashian appeared determined to avoid another awkward moment in front of Formula 1 cameras after her uncomfortable encounter with Martin Brundle in Monaco.
At the Singapore Grand Prix, the reality star made a point of approaching the Sky Sports presenter during his famous grid walk, even joking about their previous interaction.
However, according to a new report, her attempt to smooth things over was not left to chance, with her team reportedly arranging the meeting in advance.
Kim Kardashian’s Team Reportedly Arranged Her Martin Brundle Reunion
Kim Kardashian’s conversation with Martin Brundle at the Marina Bay Circuit reportedly followed behind-the-scenes coordination with Sky Sports.
According to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, her team contacted the broadcaster ahead of the Singapore race to arrange a chance for the pair to speak, after the backlash she faced for ignoring him in Monaco.
“Kim’s team reached out to Sky Sports to make sure she could do the Martin Brundle grid walk chat due to the backlash she had received last time,” the source said.
The insider added that the socialite wanted to avoid a repeat of the criticism and had arranged where and when she would meet Brundle during the busy grid walk.
Rather than wait beside Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari, she reportedly stood on the red carpet at 7:15 p.m. local time to ensure she didn’t miss the presenter.
According to the source, Kardashian wanted to make a positive impression on F1 fans and paddock attendees as her relationship with Lewis Hamilton continued to draw attention.
Kardashian Jokes About Her Monaco Snub During F1 Grid Walk
When Kim Kardashian finally met Martin Brundle, she addressed their earlier encounter directly.
During the roughly 45-second exchange, she wore a floral corset dress and jokingly asked whether she had broken an unwritten grid-walk rule.
“Did I not know the rules? Did we get off on the wrong foot?” she asked, placing her hand on Brundle’s arm.
The grid walk is a familiar feature of Brundle’s race coverage, as he approaches celebrities, drivers and other guests on the starting grid for brief interviews before races.
Guests who want to participate are generally expected to engage with broadcasters rather than simply walk past them.
Kim Kardashian Faced Backlash After Monaco F1 Grid Walk Snub
Kim Kardashian’s first appearance at the Monaco Grand Prix already sparked criticism, with the reality star’s interaction with the veteran broadcaster becoming one of the most-discussed incidents of her F1 debut.
As The Blast reported, Brundle approached Kardashian and her sister Khloé during his customary pre-race grid walk.
The sisters appeared to turn away as the broadcaster tried to speak to them, while members of their entourage seemed to encourage him to move along.
The brief encounter quickly circulated online, with viewers questioning how Kardashian had handled the presenter. The criticism also extended into discussions among people in the F1 paddock.
“There is a sense that she is stealing the show,” one insider revealed, referring to Kardashian’s arrival in the F1 social scene.
Another source described the reaction to the Brundle encounter as particularly negative among established paddock regulars.
“Among many of the regulars in the F1 paddock, it was viewed as a pretty classless moment,” the insider said.

Kardashian Backs Hamilton Ahead Of Singapore Grand Prix
At the Singapore Grand Prix, Kim Kardashian also shared her enthusiasm for the sport while speaking with Martin Brundle, describing the experience as unlike anything she had seen before.
“I think it’s amazing and fun and wild and something I’ve never seen before,” she said.
She then turned to the race itself, expressing hope for Hamilton’s performance. The Ferrari driver started the Singapore Grand Prix in third, giving him a strong grid position before the race began.
“I’m just praying for the best tonight. Yes, [he is] very confident and so am I, just got to pray for the best,” Kardashian said.
Hamilton’s race ultimately proved difficult. A strategy call, combined with tyre degradation in the closing laps, cost the British driver positions as the field headed to the finish.

Her appearance followed another fashion statement on Saturday, when she wore a fitted pink Alaïa ensemble featuring a high-neck halter design and a long, sheer skirt.
