Kenya Moore and Marc Daly came together to celebrate their daughter Brooklyn’s eighth birthday on Tuesday, November 3.
The former couple joined the birthday girl on Instagram Live as she opened presents from family and friends.
After Brooklyn worked her way through the gifts, the family announced the release of her new book, Brooklyn Bound: Kenya.
Moore, who is named after the East African country, said the book was inspired by their recent trip to Kenya, where she and Brooklyn met “amazing” local villagers during their stay.
“Everyone that we came in contact with were just amazing people,” Moore said of the trip. “And I felt so proud to bear the name of this beautiful and most magnificent country I’ve ever visited.”

On Wednesday, Moore returned to Instagram to share a photo showing Brooklyn seated between her and Daly.
“And thank you to all the kind friends and family who gave her gifts and showed her lots of love! We couldn’t be more blessed,” she wrote in the caption. “And shout out to BK’s dad for the special surprise.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum also congratulated her little girl on the book’s release and said she would share footage for anyone who missed the livestream.
Brooklyn Bound: Kenya follows Brooklyn Bound: Paris, which the mother-daughter duo released in November 2024.
Ahead of that release, Brooklyn told Fox 5 Atlanta’s Alyse Eady how the first book came about.
“I made a Bluey book, and that’s how my mommy wanted to make a book,” she said.
Impressed by the story her daughter had illustrated and stapled together, Moore suggested they write about their shared love of travel. She handled the illustrations, while Brooklyn helped with the rhymes for a story about a birthday trip to Paris with her mom.
Brooklyn Bound: Kenya is now available on Amazon.
