Jorja Smith to Headline The O2 for First Time as Part of Iconic London Venue’s 20th Birthday Celebrations

Jorja Smith is set to headline The O2 for the first time next year, with the singer-songwriter joining the London venue’s 20th birthday celebrations.

The two-time BRIT Award winner will take to the stage on Saturday, July 17th 2027, in what will be her only UK arena performance of the year.

The O2 opened as the Millennium Dome in December 1999 before the entertainment district underwent a major transformation and reopened as The O2 in June 2007. The venue is now marking two decades since its reopening with a series of special anniversary shows throughout 2027.

“Performing at The O2 as part of its 20th birthday celebrations is a huge honour,” Jorja said in a statement. “It’s a venue that has hosted so many incredible artists and unforgettable moments over the years, so to be part of this milestone feels really special. I’m excited to celebrate with you all.”

Christian D’Acuna, Vice President of Programming at The O2, added: “We are so pleased to welcome Jorja Smith, for what will be her only UK arena performance of 2027, to our ever-growing 20th birthday line-up.

“The show will be Jorja’s first-ever headline performance at the venue, making it a special moment both for us at The O2 and for her fans.”

Smith joins an expanding line-up of artists helping The O2 celebrate its milestone anniversary. The run of shows will begin with Maisie Peters on Saturday, May 8th, followed by Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal on Friday, June 4th.

Latin music star Don Omar is also set to perform on Monday, July 5th, ahead of Jorja’s July 17th headline show.

Tickets for Jorja Smith’s performance will go on general sale on Friday, August 28th at 10am. O2 and Virgin Media broadband customers will have access to Priority Tickets through the Priority app from 10am on Wednesday, August 26th.

Smith’s headline performance will mark another major milestone in her relationship with the London live music scene, while adding one of the UK’s most acclaimed contemporary R&B voices to The O2’s anniversary celebrations.

Jorja Smith – I Lied, You Lied

News of Jorja’s headline show comes as the 2019 BRIT Award winner releases her highly anticipated third studio album ‘What Are The Odds’. The record marks the latest chapter in Smith’s acclaimed career, following her 2023 album ‘Falling or Flying’, and sees the revered singer-songwriter entering a new era with her most ambitious body of work to date.

Made up of 12 tracks, the LP sees the ‘Nobody But You’ singer team up with frequent collaborator P2J (Tyla, Wizkid, Burna Boy) to create a striking, dance-inspired record that fuses soulful R&B with electronic production, club-ready rhythms and moments of house and Afrobeat influence.
