Callum Wilson is closing in on a free transfer to Brentford, subject to a medical, talkSPORT understands.
The former England striker is currently unattached having left West Ham at the end of his contract following their relegation.

The striker will be attracting interest from many clubs in the top flight, but it’s Brentford who have made a move.
It was reported last week that the Bees opened negotiations regarding a potential move from East to West London.
Keith Andrews is eyeing a new forward, with Wilson one of multiple options they are considering this transfer window.
Wilson’s next move
And talkSPORT understands Wilson will complete his move to the Gtech Community Stadium should he pass his upcoming medical.
The 34-year-old’s future at West Ham was left up in the air at the end of the campaign, despite his contract expiring.
The Hammers confirmed that Lukasz Fabianski and Adama Traore would be leaving, but did not comment on Wilson.
However, the veteran frontman appeared to confirm on his own social media that he would be leaving the club.
After relegation to the Championship was confirmed, Wilson wrote: “It hurts. We have failed as a team and definitely fallen short of everyone’s expectations.
“It was well documented that I had a history with West Ham, yet from the moment I arrived, I felt nothing but welcomed by all the fans here.
“I felt really good and positive coming into this season, and I believe I could have contributed more given the opportunity.

“As you could see, my time on the pitch was very limited at times, but that was out of my control.
“I’ve always trained hard, kept my integrity, and given my all whenever I’ve been allowed to wear the iconic Claret and Blue shirt.
“For now, all I can say is thank you. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
“Your passion is amazing, and I truly hope you return to the Premier League, where you belong, as soon as possible.”
talkSPORT reported in May that Wilson’s time at West Ham was over, as he eyed a move elsewhere to prolong his playing days.
He is keen on remaining at the top level rather than hanging up his boots and retiring after a long, successful career.

Wilson scored seven league goals last season, taking his overall career Premier League tally to 95 in 271 appearances.
One in, one out
Brentford are after Wilson while some of their young stars will depart on loan.
The Athletic reports that any additions in the attacking areas will see Kaye Furo depart and get some more game time.
It is claimed that one of the Bees’ priorities this summer is to send Furo out on loan to gain some first-team experience.
The 19-year-old forward has only played three times for Andrews’ side since signing for the club in January.
He has made one appearance in the Premier League and two in the FA Cup, featuring for just 87 minutes.
