GRAMMY-nominated pop-rock band OneRepublic are closing out the summer with their new single ‘Pay That Toll’, released via BMG.
Sonically, ‘Pay That Toll’ is laced with OneRepublic’s trademark sound, with a blend of guitars at the forefront which lends itself to an end of summer road trip. While the track itself feels pretty carefree and breezy, the lyrics paint a different story. Playing on the idea that nothing in life comes for free, the song reflects on taking risks, moving too fast, and ultimately ‘paying the toll’ for the choices we make.

‘Pay That Toll’ comes after a busy year for the band, which saw them tour across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and China. Among these, they supported Maroon 5 at BST Hyde Park in London, whilst also supporting Take That on the final night of their The Circus stadium tour in Dublin.
Earlier this year, OneRepublic released ‘In Your Eyes’, their fourth collaboration with Alesso, as well as ‘Need Your Love’ to rave reviews. They also unveiled Dreaming Out Loud (Deluxe Edition), their Triple Platinum-certified full-length debut album on Vinyl for the first time ever.
The group are currently preparing to headline the Fireworks Finale at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic on September 11th and 12th at 8pm. They will deliver a special end-of-summer concert, capped by the Bowl’s iconic fireworks display, marking the closing of the Hollywood Bowl’s summer season.
