Ten years after first capturing the attention of millions online, Max & Harvey are marking a decade in the spotlight with the release of their infectious new single, ‘Fractured’.
Taken from a forthcoming new EP, the track sees the twin brothers enter a more experimental and emotionally exposed chapter, turning the breakdown of a toxic relationship into an intense piece of intimate pop storytelling.
‘Fractured’ captures the push and pull of a relationship caught in a destructive cycle. Glitchy, warped beats collide with instantly memorable melodies as the song shifts between moments of restraint and emotional chaos, eventually building towards a thunderous final chorus that mirrors the breaking point at the heart of the track.
For Harvey, the song was born from personal experience. “We began writing ‘Fractured’ when I found myself trapped in an unhealthy relationship,” he explains, recalling a cycle of repeated break-ups and reconciliations. “I thought that was just how relationships are, but then I finally began asking myself whether all the heartbreak and strain was really worth it.”
Max describes the track as “the emotional crux” of the forthcoming EP, with the pair deliberately pushing themselves to explore more personal territory.
“We wanted to reach new depths when it came to getting personal and expressing real life feelings,” he says. “The sound reflects that: it feels unstable and distorted, building towards an inevitable final eruption.”

The release signals a bold new chapter for Max & Harvey, who have spent the past decade evolving from early social media pioneers into charting artists, performers and entertainers. Along the way, the brothers have built a dedicated fanbase through sold-out tours, millions of streams, television appearances, podcasts and a succession of career-defining moments.
Now, that decade-long journey is set to become the focus of their first tour in four years.
In A Decade kicks off at Liverpool’s O2 Academy on October 26th before travelling to Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and London. More than a retrospective concert, the tour promises an immersive celebration of the brothers’ career, combining fan favourites and new music with unseen archive footage and behind-the-scenes stories.
As much loved duo revisit the moments that have shaped their careers – and the audience that has grown alongside them – ‘Fractured’ offers a glimpse of where they are heading next.
With the new EP still to come and a decade of memories behind them, Max & Harvey are embracing a new era on their own terms: more personal, more experimental and unafraid to let things fall apart.
