Ellie Goulding has unveiled her latest single ‘4 Seasons’, offering another taste of her highly anticipated new album I Know Too Much.
‘4 Seasons’ follows on from the album’s lead single ‘Black Prada Dress’, and is a gentler offering which sees Ellie unveil her vulnerability. The track features a heart-swelling blend of acoustic guitar and soaring atmospherics detailing the first intoxicating steps of love. It’s also laced with a gorgeous blend of organic instrumentation and sparkling electronics, a trademark element associated with her sound over the years.
Co-written and produced by Beyoncé collaborator and I Know Too Much’s executive producer, Jack Rochon, ‘4 Seasons’ was debuted on Later… With Jools Holland in June, with the performance now available to watch on YouTube.

I Know Too Much is Ellie’s sixth studio album and will be out on September 4 via Polydor Records. Speaking about it, Ellie said: “The album came from the idea that maybe we can know too much. There is a certain kind of freedom in the ease of not knowing.
“This album is a collection of songs that represent a crossroads in my life where I realised what the freedom of not knowing has gifted me in the past, yet a time when I am at the precipice of understanding the true power in knowing. Through the chaos of this great change, I went to my comfort zone and found my refuge in the studio. My initial instinct was I didn’t know where it was all going, but I just knew I needed to be in the studio. Writing a song has always been my best form of therapy.”
I Know Too Much marks Ellie’s first album since 2023’s Higher Than Heaven. Since then, she has released a number of collaborations including ‘Free’ with Calvin Harris, ‘Hypnotized’ with Anyma, and ‘Save My Love’ with Marshmello and Avalon.
