Mighty Hoopla announces Robyn and The Pussycat Dolls as headliners for 10th anniversary festival

Mighty Hoopla has unveiled the first wave of artists for its 2027 festival, with Robyn and The Pussycat Dolls set to headline a landmark 10th anniversary edition at London’s Brockwell Park.

The announcement brings together an impressive collection of pop talent for the milestone celebration, with Robyn taking to the main stage on Saturday and The Pussycat Dolls headlining Sunday. Both acts will bring their respective catalogues of dancefloor favourites and pop hits to a festival that has become one of the highlights of London’s summer music calendar.

Joining Robyn on Saturday will be legendary hitmaker Kelis, while US pop star Bebe Rexha is confirmed for Sunday. The first set of artists also includes British girl group FLO, Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts, Eve, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Icona Pop, Jordin Sparks, Alcazar and B*Witched, with more additional acts still to be announced.

Since launching in 2017, Mighty Hoopla has grown considerably, establishing itself as one of the UK’s most popular and distinctive festival experiences. What began as a celebration of pop music has developed into a major fixture of London’s live music scene, welcoming tens of thousands of festival-goers each year for a weekend that brings together pop, dance, arts and queer culture.

At the heart of its appeal is a commitment to individuality, freedom and self-expression, creating an inclusive space where music fans can come together and celebrate without compromise. That sense of community has helped the festival build an identity that extends beyond its line-up, becoming an annual celebration of queer joy and the unifying power of pop.

The scale of that growth was evident at this year’s event, which attracted more than 60,000 people from across the UK and Europe for its biggest edition to date. Now, with its 10th anniversary on the horizon, Mighty Hoopla is preparing to take things even further in 2027.

For co-founder Glyn Fussell, reaching the milestone represents a particularly significant moment, both personally and for the community the festival has built.

“These past ten years have been the biggest privilege of my life. In a world that can often feel hostile and scary, we have created a celebration of life at its most joyful at Hoopla. It blows my mind daily, and I take protecting it in all its glorious technicolour more seriously than anything,” he said.

“If I could look back at that young, queer, pop-obsessed kid and tell them this would be possible, I wouldn’t have believed it. That is why we won’t stop creating this beautiful space for you all to come and play.”

Fellow co-founder Jamie Tagg reflected on the journey from the festival’s uncertain beginnings to attracting some of the biggest names in international pop.

“It’s wild to think that 10 years ago we couldn’t even get a bank loan because no one thought the festival was a good idea. Now we have some of the biggest names in music wanting to perform on our stages. Having Robyn and The Pussycat Dolls headline is a real pinch-me moment and a genuine honour for us. June can’t come soon enough,” he said.

As ever, the festival’s appeal will extend beyond its headline performances. Returning for 2027 is The Bump, Mighty Hoopla’s dedicated dance arena, which will once again bring together an international line-up of DJs and live performers. Confirmed appearances include returning favourites Girls Don’t Sync, alongside Nina Sky, Bridge and US vocalist Ultra Naté.

Queertopia will also return, continuing its commitment to showcasing emerging LGBTQ+ talent and providing a platform for artists and performers from across the queer community. This year’s first announcement includes Tom Rasmussen, Empress Of and Tsatsamis, adding another dimension to the festival’s already diverse programme.

With Robyn and The Pussycat Dolls leading the celebrations, and a further 100-plus acts still to be revealed, Mighty Hoopla’s 10th anniversary is shaping up to be a fitting reflection of just how far the festival has come. Ten years on from its beginnings, it has become much more than an annual date in the diary for pop fans; it is an established part of London’s cultural landscape, with a community and identity all of its own.

Mighty Hoopla 2027 takes place at Brockwell Park on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June. Weekend tickets start at £184.50 plus booking fee, while Saturday and Sunday general admission tickets start at £84.50 plus booking fee. Early Entry and Group Ticket options are also available, with tickets securable using a £20 deposit per person.
