Young and the Restless excites with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)’s wedding coming up fast and The Young and the Restless spoilers say it is going to be the event of the year and that fans should expect the unexpected.
So, that really got me thinking about what major drama we can expect on Sally and Billy’s big day. We are going to talk about the absolute chaos that might break out during Sally’s big day, because you know, weddings on soaps, that’s what you want.
Young and the Restless: Sally Goes into Labor
So, we know her and Billy’s wedding is supposed to be coming in October. I expect the action may stretch into November sweeps because that starts late in October. Also, The Young and the Restless fall preview says expect the unexpected. So, I think that means something very big and special may happen. I have an idea what it may mean for Sally and Billy, but I’m going to save that for the very end. So, among the current storylines, there’s some pretty chaotic things we could see.
First, I’m thinking because Sally’s pregnant and pretty far along, she may go into labor at the wedding during the ceremony while she and Billy are saying vows or at the reception while they’re cutting the cake. So, there may be some kind of crazy drama and it stresses Sally and it puts her into labor. I mean, think about the guest list. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is coming.
Things are really rocky with her and Billy. Plus, Sally’s ex Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is going to be there since Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) is one of Sally’s bridesmaids. and we’re going to have Abbotts mixing with Newmans. We all know that is a recipe for disaster every time.
Jill Has a Heart Attack on Y&R
So, there’s just a bunch of things with the potential to blow up that could send Sally right into labor and send Billy into an absolute panic. And with that in mind, the next wild thing that could happen is, you know, this would be terrible, but Jill could have a heart attack. She might collapse right in the middle of the wedding. We know that Billy invited Jill to come.
So, I expect Billy’s mom to be around for some of November sweeps and we could get a full circle thing where the wedding turns to chaos because Jill suffers a coronary and she’s zipped to the hospital and then all the stress sends Sally into labor and she’s zipped over to the hospital. So, we could see Billy losing his mom Jill right as his and Sally’s child is born. Very circle of life thing.
So, maybe Billy winds up with a little baby daughter. And I could see Sally wanting to name her Jill Ava Abbott or something like that. Honoring Billy’s mom with their baby name would be perfect. It would be a really nice tribute to Jill. Of course, also the baby that Sally lost before so tragically with Adam. And Billy may suffer this tragic loss. You know, he gains a wife and child, but he loses his mom.
Young and the Restless: Jess Walton Might Be Ready to Retire
They’ve been building up the Jill is dying storyline for a while. And that may be because Jess Walton is looking to retire. I’ve been thinking for a while that The Young and the Restless might go in this direction and that’s why they’ve had Jill with this slow health decline so that she can wrap her run at The Young and the Restless. And Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) was talking about Jill’s declining health. So, it kind of makes perfect sense to me. And the wedding would be the perfect way to set the stage for Jill and Billy to reconcile and make peace. and then Jill passes away. That would be so very soapy.
Another really wild thing would be if Adam tries to say something, you know, the part where if anybody wants to object, speak now or forever hold your peace. They actually don’t say that at real life weddings, but on soap weddings, they always do. And I don’t think Adam would object because he wants Sally back. I mean, we know Adam is very happy with Chelsea. Adam and Chelsea are very in love. I think they may get remarried in the future.
Adam Can’t Stay Quiet on Y&R
But I could absolutely see Adam objecting simply because he despises Billy. And Adam thinks he’s not nearly good enough for Sally. And we know that Adam is sure that Billy is going to let Sally down. He thinks Billy is going to break her heart. Thinks he’s going to ruin Sally’s life. So, yeah, I could see Adam trying to stop Sally from marrying Billy at the last moment, and that might horrify Sally and send her right into labor.
Something else to consider is Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is at the wedding because Billy is his uncle, and I can see Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) showing up the wedding because she shares kids with Billy and I would expect Johnny and Katie would be there for their dad’s wedding. So, if we have Kyle and Victoria both at the wedding and there’s all that, you know, champagne flowing and, you know, weddings have people getting frisky.
So, she and Kyle may try to sneak in a little kiss or a quickie in a guest room or a closet. You know, I think they might want to amp up the danger level because Victoria and Kyle both find risk very exciting is what it seems like. And I could see somebody catching them. So, that would be bad if they were caught at the wedding or the reception. Victoria and Kyle getting busted would be awesome and super soapy.
Young and Restless: Nick Relapses at the Wedding?
And the worst case would be if Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) crashed the wedding and he’s the one who found them together. Speaking of Newmans, I suspect we may see Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at the wedding. Also, he’s one of Sally’s exes. They’re on friendly terms, and if Adam’s invited, Nick may be as well. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is going to be Nick’s sponsor.
So Jack may encourage Nick to attend. And then there’s booze flowing. That might trigger Nick to get high, especially if he walks in on Victoria and Kyle getting frisky. That could send Nick over the edge. And then of course there’s Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) to consider. She and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) are supposed to be gone from Genoa City, but I absolutely don’t think we’re getting rid of Patty just yet.
I don’t think it’ll be that easy for the Abbotts because Patty will always be obsessed with Jack. So, I just don’t think that Patty will leave town without seeing Jack one last time. Plus, Matt is trying to get Patty to turn herself in. I do not think she will agree. And I think she could turn on Matt if he tries to get her to go to the cops. So, Patty may go and crash Billy and Sally’s wedding and do a really bad thing. So, now here’s the last thing that I mentioned early in the video.
Big Brother Heads to Y&R?
The Young and the Restless fall preview saying expect the unexpected at Sally and Billy’s wedding. So if you haven’t watched it, the reality show Big Brother, that’s also a CBS show along with The Young and the Restless. And the motto of Big Brother is expect the unexpected.
I mention this because the season finale of the show is this Thursday and usually the winner of Big Brother and sometimes additional fan favorites from the show get appearances on The Bold and the Beautiful. Happens every year.
We have seen Big Brother players as cater waiters. They were at Brooke and Bill’s most recent wedding. Two years ago, the Big Brother winner, Taylor Hale, showed up as a runway model at Forrester.
So, I’m wondering if this year they might let some of the Big Brother people guest on The Young and the Restless instead of The Bold and the Beautiful or in addition to The Bold and the Beautiful and maybe they are at the wedding as caterers or just extras.
So, if you’re a fan of Big Brother and The Young and the Restless, watch out because expect the unexpected is deeply associated with Big Brother. November Sweeps kicks off at the end of October on the 29th, and I expect Billy and Sally’s wedding might happen right as Sweeps begins.
