S Club – S Club Party
Few British pop groups can lay claim to a catalogue quite as closely woven into the soundtrack of a generation. From the irresistible invitation of ‘Bring It All Back’ and the party-starting energy of ‘S Club Party’ to the euphoric singalong of ‘Reach’ and the more reflective ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’, S Club soundtracked the late Nineties and early Noughties with a run of hits that extended well beyond the charts.
Formed in 1998, the group went on to sell more than 10 million albums worldwide, secure four UK Number One singles and land 11 Top Five hits. Their four multi-platinum studio albums included ‘7’, which topped the UK Albums Chart, while their accolades included two BRIT Awards: British Breakthrough Artist and Best British Single for ‘Don’t Stop Movin’.
But S Club’s influence was never confined to the music. Through their television series Miami 7 and L.A. 7, the group built an entire pop universe around their music, friendship and adventures, bringing their personalities into homes around the world. The shows reached audiences of more than 90 million people across over 100 countries, with L.A. 7 becoming CBBC’s highest-rated programme of all time.
That connection was central to the group’s appeal. S Club weren’t simply a collection of chart-ready pop songs; they offered a sense of belonging, with ‘S Club Party’ introducing each member and inviting listeners into their world. Their music was designed to be shared, whether through the choreography, the choruses or the simple pleasure of singing along with everyone else.
It’s a legacy that has endured beyond the era that first made them household names. In 2023, S Club marked their 25th anniversary with a sold-out UK and US tour, including performances at London’s O2 Arena. More recently, in June 2026, Barrett, Lee, McIntosh, O’Meara and Stevens joined Boyzone as special guests for their Two For The Road show at London’s Emirates Stadium, offering another reminder of the lasting connection between the group and their audience.
The 2027 dates will give fans another opportunity to revisit the songs that shaped their early years, while introducing S Club’s feel-good pop catalogue to a new generation. Because while the Nineties and Noughties may be firmly in the rear-view mirror, the appeal of a great pop party has never really gone away.
