Coventry City are reportedly set to finalise the purchase of £1.6million worth of land next to their stadium.
The Sky Blues are in their third spell at the Coventry Building Society Arena, the first of which began in 2005.
It was announced in August 2025 that they had finally completed the purchase of the stadium during the week of its 20th anniversary.
Coventry are now on course to provide further investment at their ground with their latest purchase.
As reported by the BBC, they will buy the area that is currently home to Car Park C.
It is owned by Coventry City Council, who will sign off the £1.6m deal on October 13 during a cabinet meeting.
Car Park C is one of three such spaces at the stadium and, situated on the other side of the A444, can fit 900 vehicles.
“Control of the car park will enable CCFC to plan for the future and look at wider regeneration of the area, which is exciting,” the council’s deputy leader Councillor Lynnette Kelly said.
The money is also set to be paid over ten years and go to the club’s Sky Blues in the Community charity instead of the council.
As per a contractual obligation, the cash must fund in the region of £160,000 of sport and culture activities in Coventry each year.
“It really is a win-win situation that will help our Premier League Sky Blues to grow stronger, and the people of the city, especially those that have less access to opportunities, to grow healthier,” Kelly added.
Coventry owner Doug King said: “This deal will allow us to bring Car Park C alongside all the other areas already in the existing head lease and simplify future regeneration.”

Tough top flight return for Coventry
After a 25-year exile, Coventry won promotion back to the Premier League by winning the Championship title last season.
England and Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was on hand to guide them into the top tier in his first full season as manager.
However, they were given a rude awakening as they lost all of their four opening fixtures this season.
Coventry managed to then pick up their first victory just before the international break with a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest.
They are 18th in the Premier League with the worst goal difference of minus nine.
Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur, two of their next three opponents, sit below them.
