Lil Wayne’s son, Dwayne Carter III, attended junior prom over the weekend, and his mom, Sarah Vivan, was there for the send-off.
Vivan shared a series of photos on Instagram giving fans a look at her son before he headed to the event.
In one photo, Dwayne wore a black suit with a matching shirt and tie and posed with his date, who wore a burgundy dress.
“I had a moment yesterday where I just stepped back and watched him be the amazing young gentleman I always prayed for him to be. Thank God I still got one more year,” she wrote.
Dwayne also shared his own post from the night and commented on his look.
He wrote, “I like a clean look. Something that’ll compliment a friend. I had a great time. Crazy to think I get to do it again #juniorprom”
Fans reacted in the comments with some remarking on how quickly the time has passed.

Dwayne Carter III was born on Oct. 22, 2008 and is Lil Wayne’s first son with Vivan. He shares his father’s name and has also gone by “Lil Tune,” a nickname tied to the rapper.
Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has four children in all. In addition to Dwayne III, he shares daughter Reginae with Antonia “Toya” Johnson, son Kameron with Lauren London, and son Neal with Nivea.
His children have appeared alongside him at public events over the years, and some have also appeared on his albums.
In 2020, Dwayne III appeared on the track “Fl4m3$,” which was included on his father’s mixtape No Ceilings 3. He used the name “Lil Tune” on the song.
