Hull City are at risk of breaching Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) after their promotion to the top-flight.
The Tigers secured their return after a nine-year absence by beating Middlesbrough in the Championship play-off final.

However, the club must now sell players before the end of the month to avoid a points deduction.
According to the BBC, Hull overspent by £6million on their PSR calculations.
Football League rules state that they could be hit with a six-point penalty as a result.
The deduction applies to any overspend between £6million and £8million.
Meanwhile, clubs overspending by £4million to £5million are deducted five points, four for £2million to £4million and three points if they breach the limit by less than £2million.
Points deductions
Everton and Nottingham Forest have both faced points deductions for PSR breaches in recent seasons.
The Toffees were deducted a total of eight points during the 2023/24 season.
Their initial 10-point penalty was reduced to six points before another two-point deduction for further breaches.
Forest, meanwhile, were docked four points during the same campaign.
As for the Championship, Leicester City and West Brom were deducted six and two points, respectively, last season for PSR breaches.

Hull’s breach has been caused by promotion clauses being triggered by their win over Boro.
EFL clubs are not permitted to make losses of more than £39million across a three-season period.
Hull owner on breach
Owner Acun Ilicali revealed the club must make player sales before July 1 earlier this month.
Speaking at a Q&A at the MKM Stadium, he explained: “We have overspent and we have to sell some players before 1 July.
“I’m not afraid. We have managed harder things. For us, this is more manageable.
“Now we are a Premier League team, the values [of players] has raised up which is a good advantage.”

The fixtures for the new Premier League season will be announced on Friday.
Hull will be amongst those clubs to learn their key dates as they return to the top-flight for the first time since 2017.
It comes after a miraculous turnaround in fortunes under Sergej Jakirovic.
The Tigers avoided relegation to League One on goal difference in the 2024/25 season.
However, they finished sixth in the Championship last term before beating Millwall and Boro in the play-offs.
