Britney Spears kept her face covered during a New York City lunch outing, days after sharing another candid message about her conservatorship. The “Toxic” singer was spotted dining at RinTinTin on Thursday, using a scarf to shield her face while spending a little over an hour at the restaurant.
Her low-profile afternoon followed a since-deleted Instagram post in which she admitted she remains “bitter” about the years she spent under the court-ordered arrangement. The outing also comes after a recent trip to Dollywood with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Britney Spears Keeps Covered During Restaurant Visit
According to Page Six, Spears visited RinTinTin on Thursday, October 15, keeping a scarf over her face during the lunch outing. Eyewitnesses claimed the 44-year-old enjoyed three glasses of red wine while at the restaurant. What she ordered to eat was unclear. Her bodyguards were later seen carrying a brown paper bag out of the establishment, though its contents were not identified.
Spears spent a little over an hour inside before heading to a waiting vehicle.
The singer continued keeping a low profile as she left, making the scarf a noticeable part of an otherwise quiet restaurant visit.
The Singer Was Seen Filming From The Backseat

After leaving the restaurant, Spears climbed into the backseat of the waiting vehicle. Page Six reported that she was then spotted smoking cigarettes and filming something on her cellphone. What she was recording remained unclear.
The phone moment followed a week in which Spears had already used social media to share her feelings about a deeply personal subject. Her latest Instagram comments revisited the conservatorship that controlled aspects of her life for 13 years, a chapter she said continues to affect her.
- Britney Spears claimed she aged backward overnight in a cryptic post about vampires and mermaids.
- Her family was reportedly left “appalled” by a remark about her father, Jamie, that they considered “needlessly cruel.”
- Spears shared her hope of becoming the “best” mom to her sons after admitting she felt she had “failed” them.
- The singer also discussed her parents’ alleged “secret lives,” saying she was “proud of bringing it up” while reflecting on motherhood.
Britney Says She Is Still ‘Bitter’ About Her Conservatorship

In the since-deleted Instagram post, Spears paired a video of herself modeling black lingerie with a message about the time she spent under the arrangement. “I’m bitter, all the hours, seconds, time, and secretly, subconsciously knowing my capabilities as a woman,” she wrote. Spears also claimed she had been unable to travel freely or access her own money for years.
The conservatorship ended in November 2021, but her recent message made clear that she still has strong feelings about the restrictions she described. Her admission came just days before the New York lunch outing. Page Six reported its contents before Thursday’s restaurant visit, but the post has since been removed.
Her DUI Case Ended With A Reduced Charge In May

The outing also comes seven months after Spears’ March 4 DUI arrest in California. In May, her attorney appeared on her behalf in Ventura County Superior Court and entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge of reckless driving involving alcohol, commonly called a “wet reckless.” Spears was not required to attend the hearing, according to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.
She was sentenced to one year of informal probation and ordered to complete a three-month alcohol education program. Her attorney, Michael Goldstein, addressed the outcome in a statement shared with Page Six.
“Through her plea today, Britney has accepted responsibility for her conduct. She has taken significant steps to implement positive change, which is clearly reflected in the Ventura County District Attorney’s decision to reduce the charge in this case and dismiss the DUI. Britney appreciates this discretion and is also grateful for the outpouring of support she has received.”
District Attorney Erik Nasarenko also outlined driving-related conditions following the hearing. He said Spears would have to submit to testing for alcohol or drugs if stopped by an officer, that her vehicle could be searched for those substances, and that she could not drive “with any intoxicant in her body.”
During Thursday’s outing, Spears was photographed entering the backseat of the vehicle.
Britney Recently Spent Time With Her Sons At Dollywood

Earlier this month, Spears enjoyed a different kind of outing with her sons. The “Gimme More” singer visited Dollywood in Tennessee with Sean Preston, 21, and Jayden James, 19.
The family trip brought time with her children before her latest public appearance in New York and the renewed attention surrounding her conservatorship comments.
