The last several years have been challenging for Brandi Glanville, but things seem to be turning around for the mother of two.
While promoting her appearance on season 5 of Fox’s “Special Forces,” the former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star spoke about her health and her rising medical bills.
During the interview, Brandi Glanville also thanked her “RHOBH” co-star, Kyle Richards, who publicly donated to the 53-year-old’s GoFundMe.
Brandi Glanville’s Friend Sets Up A GoFundMe To Help Cover Her Medical Expenses
According to The Blast, Glanville’s friend, Gina Rodriguez, set up a GoFundMe page for the Bravo star to help cover her medical expenses related to a long-term illness causing facial disfigurement.
Rodriguez set the goal amount at $28,000 and encouraged Glanville’s supporters to “help Brandi on her journey to get her health back.”
“Brandi has been fighting this for years and still has months of costly treatments and surgeries ahead,” Rodriguez said.
Glanville revealed previously that her medical bills had reached upward of $7,000 per week.
‘Real Housewives’ Stars Rally Around Brandi Glanville
Kyle Richards, who has appeared on “RHOBH” since season 1, donated $500 to the campaign, while other “Housewives” stars, including Leah McSweeney, Heather Gay, and Vicki Gunvalson, also donated.
Glanville appreciated the generous donations from her Bravo peers, telling Page Six that their support meant the world to her.
“I feel like we are a sisterhood,” she said. “We are a family at the end of the day. They ride for me. And I’d do the same for them, for sure.”
Glanville also got support from Eileen Davidson, Claudia Jordan, and former New York City congressman George Santos.
Glanville Hopes To Pay Everyone Back
On her podcast, “Unfiltered,” Glanville said that she was excited about the progress her GoFundMe was making, and revealed she hoped to pay everyone back in the future.
She said her health is currently limiting her from taking on new work, but when she’s healed, she’ll do “anything.”
“I appreciate everyone that’s helped me and you’re gonna get it back. I know this. I’m gonna get better. It might take a year, I don’t know, I’m gonna get a payment plan for my credit cards,” she said.
Brandi Glanville Forced To Leave Fox’s ‘Special Forces’
Glanville’s GoFundMe comes amid her appearance on season 5 of Fox’s “Special Forces.”
She’s one of the few “Real Housewives” cast members to appear, and while she was forced to withdraw from the competition because of a medical emergency, Glanville said she was “so proud” of herself for showing up.
“I wanted to prove to my kids I could do it, but I had to go to the doctor. I was done. But I think that this still proves to the kids that I was kind of a bad*ss,” she said about the intense reality series.
The first episode of season 5 showcased Glanville struggling to complete the first challenge, which involved contestants jumping out of a helicopter into water and swimming back to the dock.
Glanville explained that she hit the water the wrong way, prompting producers to step in almost instantly. “It was like immediately I was dizzy, and I thought my whole body was in the water. Then my body hit the water after that. It was just like being run over by a truck,” she said.
What Could Glanville See Herself Doing Next?
Her appearance on “Special Forces” comes years after the reality star was forced to leave the filming of “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” early after allegedly assaulting Caroline Manzo.
While Glanville denied the allegations, her involvement in Bravo programming ended, prompting her to suggest she’d been blacklisted by the network.
And since “Real Housewives” seems out of the picture, Glanville said she’d consider doing other shows, including “Mormon Wives.”
“Maybe I’ll be like their military person on the show. ‘Get in line, girls. No more babies. Too much soda,’” she joked.
