Eric Dane is survived by the two kids he shared with Rebecca Gayheart.
The Grey’s Anatomy and Euphoria actor died at the age of 53 following a battle with ALS.
Eric had a complicated relationship with his wife Rebecca over the years and while they broke up in 2018, they never actually finalized their divorce. Following his diagnosis with ALS, Rebecca decided to call off the divorce and remain a family, even though they were no longer a couple.
Following their split, Rebecca and Eric did remain friends while they co-parented their daughters, even going on vacation together.

Back in August 2022, Rebecca shared family photos from their trip to Paris, calling the group the “EuroDanes.”
Eric made his final red carpet appearance with his kids in 2024 while attending the premiere of the movie Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
His girls were fans of his work and while they’ve watched “every episode” of Grey’s Anatomy, he revealed in 2024 that he “never” wants them to watch him in Euphoria.
“My 12-year-old, when she started watching it a couple of years ago looked at me and said, ‘Dad, where did your abs go?’ She was serious. She wasn’t making a joke,” Eric revealed about Georgia‘s reaction to the show.
Just a couple weeks ago, Billie and Georgia attended the premiere of Wuthering Heights as the guest of Jacob Elordi, who played Eric‘s son on Euphoria. Rebecca shared the below photo on her Instagram Stories.
