Backstreet Boys Go Dino-Pop on New PAW Patrol Anthem ‘Bottle Up’

The Backstreet Boys have spent more than three decades proving that pop music can survive every trend cycle imaginable. They’ve conquered the boy-band boom, weathered the streaming revolution, and become one of the most enduring vocal groups in modern music. Now, in perhaps the most unexpected collaboration of their career, they’re joining forces with a pack of animated rescue dogs.

The group’s new single, ‘Bottle Up’ – written by Savan Kotecha and Ed Sheeran – arrives as the flagship song from PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, bringing together arena-pop nostalgia and family-friendly blockbuster energy in a way only the Backstreet Boys could pull off.

Built around soaring harmonies, bright acoustic flourishes, and an instantly memorable chorus, ‘Bottle Up’ taps into the emotional sweet spot that has defined the band’s biggest hits. The song’s central message – holding on to life’s happiest moments and preserving them forever – gives the veteran pop stars plenty of room to showcase the vocal chemistry that has remained remarkably intact since the late 90s.

For longtime fans, the track feels like a natural extension of the band’s recent embrace of feel-good, multigenerational pop. For younger listeners, many of whom may be discovering the group through PAW Patrol, it serves as a cheerful introduction to one of pop’s most recognisable vocal groups.

The accompanying music video leans fully into the crossover appeal. Intercutting footage from PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie with scenes of the band performing amid colourful prehistoric-themed sets, the clip embraces the playful spirit of the franchise without sacrificing the polished production values fans expect from a Backstreet Boys release.

‘Bottle Up’ arrives as Nick, Howie, Brian, AJ and Kevin prepare to return to Las Vegas for another run of their blockbuster Into the Millennium residency at Sphere.

Since becoming the first pop act to headline the futuristic venue when the residency opened in July 2025, the group has played 35 sold-out shows for more than 575,000 fans. The immersive production has transformed Sphere into a living celebration of the band’s legacy, with concertgoers embracing an unofficial dress code of all-white attire – a tribute to the instantly recognisable cover of the Backstreet Boys’ landmark 1999 album, ‘Millennium’.
