Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni as a potential replacement forCasemiro, who is expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.The Telegraph reports the Red Devils’ interest in the Real Madrid midfielder, a move that would be activated at Old Trafford if the Spanish club were to go for Rodri Hernandez (the City midfielder who did not close the door on Madrid).

This summer, Manchester United are considering the signing of two midfielders, or even three if Uruguayan Manuel Ugarte also ends up leaving.
Real Madrid paid around 100 million for Tchouameni in 2022
Real Madrid signed Aurelien Tchouameni in 2022 from Monaco, in atransfer that was around 100 million euros plus variables.
With Tchouameni in their engine room, Real Madrid have won eight titles: one Champions League, one LaLiga, one Copa del Rey, two Club World Cups and two European Super Cups.
In England, Tchouameni’s possible departure from Madrid is linked to the arrival of Rodri or Enzo Fernandez
James Ducker reports that “Aurelien Tchouameni is among United’s leading candidates to replace Casemiro in their search for a top-class defensive midfielder this summer” and that “any negotiations with Tchouameni, whose contract expires in 2028, could depend on Madrid signing a new midfielder this summer and needing to sell a player to finance such a deal”.
“Florentino Perez is known for his admiration for Rodri, the Madrid-born Manchester City midfielder who won the Ballon d’Or in 2024,” it stresses.
In England, Rodri (who is under contract until 2027) and Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea midfielder who has recently made eyes at Madrid) are being touted as two of the options being considered by Real Madrid to strengthen their midfield.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Manchester City are vying to secure the services of Elliot Anderson, a highly-rated 23-year-old midfielder for whom Nottingham Forest are asking for more than 114 million euros.
It seems that, for the moment, City is ahead of United in this operation.
