KEVIN HART GETS REAL ABOUT RAISING FOUR KIDS IN NEW AUDIOBOOK, “KIDS MAKE ME ANGRY”

Kevin Hart is teaming up again with Audible for a new Audible Original titled Kids Make Me Angry, set to be released June 4, just ahead of Father’s Day.

The project marks Hart’s third collaboration with the platform and puts the focus on his life as a dad. The audiobook mixes personal stories with parenting moments drawn from more than two decades of raising his four kids.

Hart, who grew up without a present father, frames parenting as a chance to redefine what that role can look like.

“I had no blueprint for being a dad, so I had to figure it out on my own,” Hart said. “And let me tell you, I wasn’t always perfect, but I showed up 100% of the time. In this Audible Original I am getting real about the last 21 years—the chaos, the lessons, the moments that broke me and built me back up. What’s important is that I showed up, continue to show up, and love my kids with all my HART!”

Across the audiobook, Hart breaks fatherhood into eight stages, starting with early uncertainty and moving through the more complicated phases of raising teenagers and eventually learning to let go. The stories range from everyday discipline to high-pressure moments and preparing his children for adulthood.

Kate Navin, Audible’s Head of Creative Development in North America, said Hart’s voice continues to connect with listeners because of how direct and unfiltered his storytelling is.

“Kevin Hart is a force in audio. His comedy, his timing, his raw honesty all come alive when he’s speaking directly to listeners,” she said. “The runaway success of his previous Audible projects proves what we already knew: our audience has an insatiable appetite for Kevin’s voice. With Kids Make Me Angry, he’s taking on his most personal subject yet, and delivering exactly the kind of unfiltered storytelling that keeps his fans coming back for more.”

Hart has built a strong following on Audible with previous releases, including his memoir I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons. With Kids Make Me Angry. He brings that same storytelling style to one of his most personal topics yet.

The Audible Original will be available starting June 4.
