Alexis Skyy is sharing just how much her daughter Alaiya Medford means to her. The reality star recently posted a series of photos of the 8-year-old on Instagram on Saturday with a message about how motherhood has changed her life.
“Before the world knew me, before the businesses, the cameras, the accomplishments, and the woman I’m still becoming… God gave me YOU,” she began.
“My baby girl, I hope one day you understand just how much you’ve changed my life. You’ve taught me a different kind of love, a different kind of strength, and a purpose bigger than myself,” Skyy continued.
The proud mom also shared how Alaiya has helped her through some of her toughest moments
“There have been days Mommy was tired, days I cried in silence, and days I didn’t know how I was going to figure everything out. But every single time I look at you, I’m reminded why I can never give up,” she wrote.
Skyy also made Alaiya a promise.
“I promise to always be your safe place, your biggest supporter, your protector, and your voice whenever you need me. I’ll spend my life making sure you know how loved, beautiful, special, and capable you are,” she shared.
“In every lifetime, in every version of this world, I’d choose to be your Mommy all over again. My Alaiya, my heart outside my body. Forever us,” the mom of one concluded.
Alaiya Grace was born in January 2018, three months before her due date, to Skyy and businessman Brandon Medford. During her months-long hospital stay, doctors diagnosed her with hydrocephalus, a condition that causes fluid to build up in the brain.
At one year old, Alaiya had emergency surgery to repair a shunt that helps drain the excess fluid. She was later diagnosed with a mild form of cerebral palsy, which Skyy has attributed to a brain bleed.
In March 2025, Skyy marked Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month with a video in which Alaiya spoke about having the condition. The young girl told viewers that if she could beat the odds, they could too.
