Former Chelsea star and assistant manager Jody Morris was forced to jump in and defend his teammate in a huge on-pitch brawl.
Morris was representing St. Johnstone in the Tennent’s Sixes on Saturday evening when things got incredibly heated.
Frazer Wright, who played over 100 games for St. Johnstone, smashed into Dundee’s Morgaro Gomis, sparking total chaos.
Gomis had his legs completely wiped out from underneath him as he was clattered by Wright on the edge of the box.
The aggressive tackle instantly saw Gomis try and get back to his feet to confront Wright, but the latter was already coming towards him, with other players then storming towards the pair.
Wright was pushed over by a Dundee United player, falling to the ground, with Gomis being held back in the brawl.
Former Chelsea midfielder Morris then tried to intervene, pulling multiple people away from the clash, including Wright, who had plenty directing their anger his way after his challenge.
Things eventually calmed down, but the referee instantly brandished the red card for the ex-St Johnstone centre-back once he was finally separated from the chaos.
Wright then slumped off to the sin bin, sitting there for the remainder of the game at the Braehead Arena.
Fortunately for him though, St. Johnstone managed to hang on to a 2-1 win against Dundee United.
‘We’re a little bit old school’
Morris spoke about the incident post-match after trying his best, and seemingly failing, at breaking things up on the pitch.
He said: “I suppose it’s just two teams that want to win, isn’t it?

“A little bit of rivalry – I recognise quite a few faces from back in the day. We just wanted to protect the lead.
“It was a strong tackle from Frazer, but I don’t think it was a red. I think he got the ball.
“It was maybe a little bit too much for today’s game, but it is what it is, isn’t it? We’re still a little bit old school.
“I think when you come across most footballers, whether they’re playing golf, Monopoly, they want to win and we’re no different.”
What is the Tennent’s Sixes?
The Tennent’s Sixes is a six-a-side tournament that is held over two days, including all 12 Scottish Premiership clubs.
This year’s edition is the first since 1993, with legends of all teams coming together to play against each other.

It is being held indoors at the Braehead Arena in Renfrewshire.
The event started on Saturday, with the brawl between St. Johnstone and Dundee United coming on opening day.
The final will take place on Sunday evening, with the winning club collecting a brand-new Tennent’s Sixes trophy.
