Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United and Liverpool target Endrick, as per TEAMtalk.
After being impressed by the 20-year-old’s performances for Palmeiras, Real Madrid decided to purchase him a couple of years ago. Initially, he featured as a rotational option at the Spanish capital but struggled to find regular game time during the first half of last campaign.
As a result, he joined Olympique Lyonnais on loan in January to play regularly and develop his career. Endrick showed glimpses of his qualities in Ligue 1 last term, making 16 goal contributions in 21 appearances across all competitions.
Having been attracted by his displays, Jose Mourinho opted to keep hold of him, but he has once again failed to break into Los Blancos’ starting XI this season. Still, the forward has continued to feature consistently for the Brazilian national team.
Now, AS report that Endrick is likely to leave in January to play regularly and develop his career. TEAMtalk claim that the Brazilian’s representatives are set to hold talks with Los Blancos to understand whether he will get game time over the coming months.
Arsenal remain keen on him, having made an initial approach this summer, and have a good chance to finalise the operation if he eventually leaves in January.
On the other hand, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur held talks to learn about the details of purchasing the South American this summer.
Battle
The Real Madrid star is valued at around £35m by Transfermarkt and still has a contract until 2030. Therefore, Mourinho’s side are in a strong position to demand a big fee if they are forced to cash-in.
Endrick is a left-footed striker but can provide cover on the right flank if needed. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, and has powerful shots.
Moreover, the youngster is efficient in finishing off his chances. Although Endrick has struggled at Real Madrid, he is a talented player and possesses the potential to reach the top.
Therefore, he would be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal, Liverpool or Man Utd should any of those clubs purchase him. However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to secure his services by defeating other clubs in this race.
