Tottenham’s medical staff won’t be receiving Christmas cards from Jason Cundy any time soon.
Cundy, who began his career at Chelsea, was on the books at Spurs from 1992 until 1996 but managed only 28 appearances for the club.

That’s because his stint in north London was blighted by injuries.
Annoyingly for the beloved Sports Bar co-host, a number of his physical struggles were manageable.

“Spurs, their medical team were nothing short of abysmal. They were terrible,” Cundy said on In The Mixer.
“And part of my injuries that lasted for as long as they did was partly down to their incompetence. They were a disgrace.”
One example of Spurs’ medical staff mishandling Cundy was when he got diagnosed with a bulging disc, which sat in his nerve canal.
“I had scoliosis, it’s a curvature of the spine,” Cundy said.
“That can be remedied or rectified by exercise, hard work, physio.”
Cundy detailed that injured players at Spurs during his time at the club went in earlier during the week to receive treatment.

But once it reached the end of the week, Cundy couldn’t take any more.
“By the Friday, I’m like, ‘I’m not going in,'” Cundy said.
“So I phoned the PFA and said they’re (Spurs) bullying me to try and get an operation.”
The PFA, who Cundy hailed as ‘absolutely magnificent’, then organised for the defender to see a physio on Harley Street, which is recognised as an distinguished medical district in central London.
“And the physios at Spurs basically washed their hands of me, didn’t want to know me,” Cundy added.
“And within six weeks of seeing a physio at Harley Street, I was back training.
“I’d been out close to two years.”
Cundy was eventually forced to retire in 2000 aged just 31 due to injuries, with a training ground incident while at Portsmouth proving to be the straw that broke the camel’s back.
