The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted a short clip to their Kensington Royal Instagram page, as they thanked their fans for their “kind” wedding anniversary messages. The video gave their adoring followers a rare glimpse into their private family life. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were filmed climbing sand dunes on a beach in Norfolk with Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, three.
They can also be seen with their children around a campfire toasting marshmallows in the countryside, as well as playing with them in the garden of their Anmer Hall residence.
Commenting on the video footage of the happy family, Georgina Durrant pointed out a clever parenting technique used by Kate to give encouragement to her children.
The author of ‘100 Ways Your Child Can Learn Through Play’, noted how the duchess of Cambridge gets down to her children’s level when she talks to them.
She told the Daily Mail: “This is a wonderful way of helping children to feel valued, listened to and secure.
“This could be referred to as Active Listening and it shows them that she is listening properly to what they are saying and she cares.
‘As a parenting technique it can help children to feel confident in themselves and in talking about their feelings.
